Hamfest India 2009 7 - 8 November, Bengaluru

The 18th Hamfest India event is being conducted in Bengaluru city, Karnataka, on 7 & 8 November 2009. The venue for this gala event is none other than the same place where the biggest Hamfest event in India happened in the year 1998 bringing more than 800 delegates from all over the country.

 

Delegate Registration Details

You may register as a deligate individually or jointly with your spouse and / or children.

The delegate fee details are as below:

  • Invidual Ham / SWL: INR.450/- (USD 10 for foreign delegates)
  • Accompanying Spouse: INR.350/- (USD 8 for foreign delegates)
  • Accompanying Children above 10 years of age: INR.350/- (USD 8 for foreign delegates) No delegate fee for children below 10 years of age

The delegate fee may be paid by Demand Draft / Banker's Cheque / Cheque, in favour of HAMFEST INDIA 2009, payable in Bangalore City.

Please note that the Spot-Registration on 7 & 8 November will be Rs.600 for Hams & SWLs and Rs.350/- for accompanying spouse and children each.

Accomodation Booking Amount:

If you require accomodation booking, the booking amount as indicated in the Delegate Registration Form, should be added along with the delegate fee amount. One single Cheque / Demand Draft may be sent for the combined amount.

Space shuttle Atlantis lifted off from Kennedy Space Center, Florida, at 2:28 p.m. EST Monday, beginning STS-129, the 31st shuttle flight to the International Space Station.

Expedition 21 Commander Frank De Winne, ON1DWN and Flight Engineers Robert Thirsk, VA3CSA, Roman Romanenko, Nicole Stott, KE5GJN, Maxim Suraev and Jeffrey Williams, KD5TVQ, are making final preparations for Atlantis’s arrival, set for Wednesday.

The STS-129 mission will focus on storing spare hardware on the exterior of the station. The 11-day flight will include three spacewalks and the installation of two platforms to the station’s truss, or backbone. The platforms will hold spare parts to sustain station operations after the shuttles are retired. This equipment is large and can only be transported using the unique capability of the shuttle.
