ARSI - Amateur Radio Society of IndiaThe Amateur Radio Society of India (ARSI) is a non-profit public service organization, organized under the laws of the Government of India. It is recognized by the Provision of Section 13 of the Indian Societies Registration Act (No. XXI of 1860) as amended and extended.

ARSI is the national association for Amateur Radio Operators in India. ARSI is recognized internationally for representing Indian Amateur Radio activities in international fora. For the first time the past president of ARSI was elected as one of the Regional directors of the International Amateur Radio Union Region3.

 

Mission of ARSI (Amateur Radio Society of India)

  • To promote the general advancement and diffusion of knowledge of science and practice of Electronics and Radio Communication and to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas on these subjects amongst its members.
  • To serve the country at all times to the best of its ability and that of its members, by rendering service in maintaining essential communication in any type of emergency, national or international.

The club has a wide membership amongst the length and breadth of the country. Currently the society is led by President VU2GMN (OM Gopal Madhavan) based out of Chennai.
