Hi All,
Many many thanks to CAV & GTI for providing me the kit, constantly enquiring about my late delivery (late delivery is normal in my location) & waiting for me to begin assembly.
The packing & labeling of the kit is very good, which shows the sweat they had put to revive the homebrewing in a new dimension with such low impedance.
The long experience of OM Rahul will definitely guide us for some great moments, Hats off to him.
Even simple but essential things like pins, wire & connectors are included, I like suggest to include the required IC base.
Lastly I mention here about two small unbelievable things that included, 1- a bundle of solder wire & 2- a cute nice hand-made IFT tuning tool(A lot of Sincerity).
Sorry all for bad English.
Hope to get more assembly update from friends.
Regards,
Sameer:woohoo:

Hi CQ,
The Rx Audio Section is working fine. No space for R58 & C74, so not wired them.
Keying is also good with required delay. Only side tone is giving click sounds during CW on, this may be due to I have not used all the .01s except C103 & C103A. I used .1s in place of C102 & C100(C117 in Silk screen). Also instead of Coax wire I have connected single wire from C103A to centre pin of R53 (Volume). Voltage are as per Guidance of VU2ASB. Waiting for updates from OMs.
Regards.

Hi CQ,
The side tone osc. works fine with the components as per circuit. Replaced the .1s with .01s in C100(C117), C102(C100), C101 & also others. Output is taken from junction of C103 & 10K pot, so bypassing C103A.
Waiting from CQ,
Regards,
Sameer

Hi Sameer,

Good to know that you are going fast with the project.

Few more hams have joined the project recently and are trying to come to a point where they can run in parallel to rest of the hams who are homebrewing the ATS 1.

It would be great if you coould share your experience and refrence voltage, in the making of SIDE TONE OSICILLATOR.

Few Hams in Delhi are looking forwaqrd to it.

Keep it up. Good Luck !!!!

Newsflash

QRZ Search for India HAMS

Dear friends,

My own attempt at qrz for Indian ham radio operators is live on http://qrz.vu2.in Only Indian callsigns for now and in the process to continously improve as I would get time in days ahead on weekends.

Dec 21 Update: VUHAMS QRZ Search Engine is holding up good and the inital part of setting up the frontend and backend database has been tested few times and it is working!!!! We have about 5000 VUHAMS Callsigns stored and should you find that your callsign is not showing up, you would be redirected to a form to enter your details.

Request all OM/YL to use it, also should you want to leave your signature anywhere ... you may use http://qrz.vu2.in/db/<YOUR CALLSIGN> to share the details, For example for myself I would use http://qrz.vu2.in/db/VU2GTI as the link to give details.

Look forward to your participation and cooperation - and your feedback too!!!
