As published to select group by email, this information is now being shared with everyone.

ATS1 PCB and coils are ready and we are just waiting for final confirmation from all participants (along with impedance to order Crystal Filters from BEL)

If you would like to order a kit for yourself - hurry and send your email to get more information (vu2gti-@-yahoo.com take away the -) or post your question here.

Thx

Writeup on ATS1 Available in Downloads section. 3 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 5
Detailed write up on ATS 1 is available in download section of the site.

Some features of ATS 1

- Product of ARA
- Designed by VU2IF, VU3WJM and VU2LRL were members of the team
- Single Board Transceiver
- Originally designed for 20m SSB
- Can be modified as dual band (20m + 40m)
- Optional to use on board VFO - you can always inject VFO from external source (if you have one)
- Onbaord VFO can be cut from main PCB (should you feel like you need to keep the section away)
- TxRx Switching done by transistors (original was relay based)
- AGC and RIT included in the original design
- 10 to 15W output
- On board power supply circuit (optional - you can use your existing power supply)
- Very low noise - at times at par, if not better in comparison to commercial rigs
- Low Impedance - We approximate the project to be in the range of 3.5K (without power supply components, cabinet or frequency counter etc)
- Designed considering components available in India.

-- More features,,, but I am running out of time here, if you have any specific question - do post it here and we would love to address them for you.

Thx
Gaurav

HI!

It is a very emotional and thrilling moment for me to see the revival of the project. There are just too many small episodes and incidents associated with the project during its development some 15 years+ in history.I still cannot forget the big TARBOOZ that LRL would bring for refreshment, Hi! Hi!.

Along the way many mods were worked upon that we could not make it public due to various limitations and commitments. ATS1 in itself is an excellent project. I suggest just go ahead with it.

Rest assured I will be posting many mods from my wizard cap , just to make it better.
