ASOC license wishlist 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 5
Hi All,
Just want to know what would be your wishlist for getting a ticket. Each one of you who got the ticket recently or long back, and those aspiring to get one - what are the key problem areas that you faced and how do you suggest we can overcome the problem.

Do share your views and here is my list

  • WPC should publish examination schedule on the web for aspiring hams.
  • Results should be made available online as well within 2 - 3 weeks of examination (WPC site)
  • HAM Charter to issue license within 30 days of publishing the result (if Passport can be delivered pending police verification, why should hams wait forever)
  • Ease verification process
  • Move to eTransfer of fees for new license or renewals, getting DD made from Delhi for a particular branch is not ham user friendly. Online payments can certainly help to get the money in no time and expedite the process of renewal etc.

Quite a handful - but look forward to your views, feedback and comments!
