Help need to revive my year 2001 project 3 Years ago Karma: 0
Hello
I had assembled ATS-1 (ver2) in the year 2001. But i could not complete the project due to (1)There were too many mismatches between the circuit diagram and PCB Layout. Has it been resolved now? Can anyone help in this regard (2) I could not align the ICTs as some of them mechanically broke down after several trials. Can i get the ICTs in Bangalore? Is it the same 5 coil pack available in electronic shops or it has some other name

Guess CAV and GTI have pre tuned IFTs if that is what you mean, I had the version 2 pcb but i had no issues making it and there were very few mismatch if i recall. Any way Go by the circuit and not by what is said in the pcb and all should be ok. But again my memory is also that old but i do not recall any serious mismatch to stall a project !.
Mail CAV or GTI for a set o coils , guess that should be the same for every PCB version ! NO they are not the sam 5 pack ift you get for a normal RADIO. their cores will not work at our required frequencies

C-54(.01mfd).
There is a capacior symbol printed on the lower left (outside) of VFO shield line but no number is printed,
that I have found is C-54(.01mfd).

C-83 in the mic section is marked as electrolytic capacitor, but that infact is .1mfd disc.

C-149 printed on lower right corner of the board, near R-118 PS I think is C-146(.1mfd)??

C-99 printed near IC-4 infect is C-89(100pf disc)

C-90-- In cw delay section, just next to VFO box,on right side, just below D-23/22 printed is C-90, but this is C-98 (47mfd).
The actual C-90(.1mfd) is towards pin 8/9 of ic4.

R-88 is printed at 3places on board. R-88 printed on the left side of the board toward J12,
is R-83, value is 2k2. 2nd R-88 left of T6 is ok, 3rd R-88 towards right side of baord, near r74 PS,
is R-80 and value is 1k.

D-28 and D-29--Right side of the board, just next to PS-R82,are printed D-28 and D-29, but they
actually are D-19(3V3 zener) and D-20(1N4148).

-D-26 and D-26A: D-26 below Q-17 is ok and just on the left of this diode printed A is D-26A, 2 zeners (15V/.4W) back to back.
C-154: The number is printed but not symbol. It will go between Q17 and R-160.

D-29- There is one 60-70V/1W zener grounded from Drain of Q17, the number should have been D-28, there is another D-29(OA79), which is near S-meter, and there is another D-29-32, that is part of power supply, makes birdge rectifier.

R-5 printed at two places. R-5 (100E)near T2 right lower corner is ok, but 2nd printed near "IN" of xtal filter is R-6(1k)

C17: (.01mfd disc) is capacitor just below T-3, number is printed but not symbol. one side of this capacitor goes in the middle hole just below T3 and other side goes on left side hole.

C-90,C-98: C-90 is printed near R110 PS. This is near upper right corner of VFO shield line. This is C-98(47mfd Electro) and not C-90 as printed.

L2,VFO coil: I have made coil on 1.4cm former with 26swg wire, 42 turns, I have found that you need about 6' 8" of
wire to make this coil.
