Hi vu2cav,
Received the kit in good condition. Really a wonderful circuit and pcb. Completed the following sections - AF amplifier, Mic amplifier, BFO and VFO. All sections are working properly.

Since a multiturn pot is used for tuning, I think, a frequency meter is a must to know the transmitting frequency. Is a frequency meter kit available to use with ATS1?

Hi Cherry,
As of now FLL VFO kit (Original circuit was by IK3OIL) is under testing - to be used instead of onboard VFO. Not only would it give a frequency display, it would also stablize the frequency and thus - more advantages for a small price. I'm currently travelling thus the project stopped - and would pick it back once I reach back Noida around 9th May.

Hi friends,
I think it is sufficient to have a frequency meter which reads VFO frequency. The cost will be low and no programming is required. I saw the photo of the rig by VU2ASB with the VFO frequency displayed. Can any body help me with the details of such a frequency meter?

I have the PCB's for frequency counter that was designed by VU2IF, however no manual or circuit diagram and I heard that components used for it are no longer available. Why don't you try out circuit from IK3OIL (Google for Frequency Counter IK3OIL) - and you should get it, fairly easy to construct. Long back I had purchased Freq Counter from Charudutt (VU2UPX - I guess) from Mumbai - again suggest to google and see if it is still available else visit foxdelta.com / FD.com
